Each year over 1,000 college students make the decision to transfer to OU, bringing with them a variety of knowledge, experiences, perspectives and goals. Getting Connected Before Arriving on Campus
Our orientation program isn’t just for freshman. We have a transfer group at each of our 5 sessions of camp where you’ll meet other new transfer students and be paired up with transfer student mentors. Visit www.ou.edu/campcrimson for more information.

Getting Involved on Campus

Transfer Specific Classes
UCOL 3001 introduces transfer students to the academic requirements, policies, and resources at the University of Oklahoma. Students will learn about academic advising, transfer credit, degree programs, campus resources, student life, and methods for achieving academic success at a four-year research institution. UCOL 3001 is a 1-hour, 8-week course that is letter graded.

Transfer Specific Scholarships
The University of Oklahoma offers a variety of scholarships to admitted transfer students based on criteria such as academics, leadership, community involvement, and extracurricular activities. You can find more infromation about transfer specific scholarships here.
OU McNair Scholars Program
Do you want to earn a Ph.D.? The OU McNair Scholars Program is here to help! The McNair program provides encouragement, guidance, and mentorship to underrepresented juniors and seniors in preparation for graduate school. Applicants must be U.S. citizens/permanent residents, have 60 undergraduate credit hours, and overall/OU GPAs of 3.00 or higher. Scholars receive a $2800 stipend for program participation, which includes conducting an undergraduate research project, applying to graduate programs, and other scholarly activities.
