How To Get Involved

OUr Earth

OUr Earth is a student group dedicated to taking action on environmental issues on campus and in the greater community. Activities include hiking, cleaning up the OU Duck Pond, touring local organic farms, camping, rock climbing, visiting a wind farm, recycling in the community, volunteering, and hosting entertaining film nights. UOSA Office of Green Initiatives

The University of Oklahoma Student Association's Office of Green Initiatives works to engage students in campus sustainability efforts. We are the student voice of sustainability, run out of the UOSA Executive Branch and Department of the Interior. Current projects include the Crimson & Green Commitment, facilitating communication between campus environmental groups, and involving students in the campus community garden.

Degrees in Sustainability and the Environment

The University of Oklahoma offers several innovative degree programs in sustainability and the environment.

Environmental Concerns Committee (ECC) and Sustainability Committee (SC)

The ECC and SC have combined to more effectively assess environmental issues and constructs action plans to increase energy efficiency and conservation awareness for the Office of the President.
