Welcome to the
Southwestern Social Work Association
The Southwestern Social Work Association is an affiliate
of the Southwestern Social Science Association, which also has affiliates
in economics, geography, history, international studies, political science,
sociology, and a women's caucus. The SSSA is the largest interdisciplinary
professional organization in the social sciences. Originally membership
and conference participation was primarily from academics representing
institutions of higher learning located in southwestern states. More recently
attendance and conference participants represent a wider geographical
area. The social work affiliate welcomes your membership. Members of the
SWSWA/SSSA receive a subscription to Social Science Quarterly, SSQ.
