Stabilizing Patients Rapidly for INTerfacility Transport
In collaboration with Oklahoma's helicopter EMS services, and with funding from the Oklahoma State Department of Health and MedEvac Foundation International, OUDEM has developed a course aimed at improving efficiency of interhospital transfers. The course, named SPRINT (Stabilizing Patients Rapidly for INTerfacility Transport), is being taught around Oklahoma. The course's reference materials are provided on this site; they can be downloaded and used in any manner useful to hospitals and healthcare providers. The materials available include the following:
- A low-graphics (small file size) version of the course lecture (PDF)
- A reproduction of the SPRINT summary poster (PDF)
- Checklist templates (these can be modified with hospital-specific information and then printed/folded/laminated to create useful pocket cards) [WORD]
We hope the SPRINT materials prove a useful contributor to improved transport efficiency and better patient outcomes. Any questions or comments regarding the materials may be directed to SPRINT@OUDEM.org.
