About Paul Benson

Paul A. S. Benson, MD, MPH, FAAP is an Associate Professor, Department of Pediatrics, OU-TU SCHOOL OF COMMUNITY MEDICINE, TULSA, OK. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Rush Medical College in Chicago, IL and completed his Pediatric Residency from Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center. He did his Adolescent Medicine Fellowship with Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. Board-certified in both General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, Dr. Benson is the George Kaiser Family Foundation Chair in Pediatrics and an Associate Professor of Pediatrics. He currently provides outpatient primary care and subspecialty consultative services to adolescents and young adults aged 12 to 22 years at the Schusterman Center Pediatric Clinic, and Youth Services of Tulsa. He is also available for inpatient consultations at the Children's Hospital at St. Francis. His clinical interests include reproductive health care including contraceptive management, sexually transmitted infections, menstrual disorders, eating disorders and obesity management, and LGBT health. He is engaged in developing several community-based collaborations to enhance adolescent health services for other medically underserved populations in Tulsa. Dr. Benson has the training and expertise to help teens and young adults with their complex physical, behavioral and emotional health needs. Dr. Benson is board certified in General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.
