Research

The OU-TU School of Community Medicine Section of Vascular Surgery has been involved in basic science, translational, investigator initiated, and clinical trials for many years. We are actively involved in national and regional conferences and provide ample opportunities for our trainees to collaborate.

Each year our residents and faculty have had a strong presence in OU-TU School of Community Medicine’s Annual Research Forum and Clinical Vignette Symposium where we have won many awards. We are proud of the contribution our faculty and residents have made in their research endeavors.

The Section of Vascular Surgery has been very active, and opportunities have arisen for our trainees to participate in. The department has published 36 peer-reviewed journal articles and a patent on therapeutics to the spinal cord in spinal cord pathology. Additionally, the department has conducted 37 presentations on the local, regional, and national levels, and is involved in a number of clinical trials.
