OUTV serves the University of Oklahoma and surrounding communities via Cox Cable Television Channel 124 (seen in 180,000 homes). We have a variety of programming, including OU Nightly(seen in 453,000 homes in OKC & Tulsa), Our Sports Pad, The Set,and various Sooner Vision productions.

Can I be a sponsor of OUTV?
OUTV is always looking for individuals and businesses interested in underwriting our programming. We offer several different underwriting packages at reasonable and competitive rates. Anyone interested in working on an underwriting contract with OUTV should contact the OUTV business office at 325-0121.

Which positions offer college credit?
JMC 4623 Producing & Directing for Multi-camera provides content for the channel through the efforts of the course participants. This course is instrumental in developing new shows for OUTV. JMC 3773 Television News provides the majority of the content for the newscast. Students are expected to shoot packages, voice-overs, and VO-SOTs, as well as writing scripts for each newscast. The majority of the anchors and sportscasters also come from the class. JMC 3011 The Set Practicum is a live-to-tape music show that is award-winning and fun to work on. Shows tape on weekends and post during the week. Students are responsible for shooting, editing, booking, coordination of talent, and a host of other activities. JMC 3011 News Production Practicum provides most of the technical support for the newscast. Students enrolled in the class work at various positions, including camera operation and floor direction. Do you get paid?
Although the largest portion of our staff, our crew and talent, participate only for experience and college credit, there are paid managerial positions available. Anyone interested in working for us in any manner should contact the OUTV office at 325-0121.
