Psychological Assessment

Update: Our assessment waitlist is currently closed as it has reached capacity. We apologize for any inconvenience caused. If you require psychological testing during this time, we recommend reviewing community providers who may also be able to provide services during this time. Wait times for community providers can vary. We will update this page when the assessment waitlist re-opens.

What do psychological assessments at the UCC involve?

Psychological assessments assess cognitive and achievement functioning, and collect social, emotional, and behavioral information using standardized and objective measures. Psychological assessments are conducted by doctoral interns and supervised by staff psychologists.

We offer testing services to assess primarily for Learning Disabilities and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Other areas of assessment, such as test anxiety and mood disorders, can be discussed during the psychological assessment intake.

Testing will take approximately 6 to 8 hours, over the course of 2 to 3 weeks. You are required to be on time to all testing sessions and must call 24 hours in advance to cancel or reschedule a session. If you miss your psychological assessment intake, you will be removed from the testing waitlist. Please contact the front desk for community referrals for psychological assessments if needed.

Please note: We are unable to conduct testing for Autism Spectrum Disorder. Completing an assessment does not guarantee accommodations through the Accessibility and Disability Resource Center (ADRC) at the University of Oklahoma.

How much does it cost?

A psychological assessment costs $400. The psychological assessment intake session is $10, and you will be charged an additional $190 on the first date of testing. When you receive your results, feedback and written report, you will be charge the remaining $200.

The UCC does not accept any insurance for psychological assessment. You may pay with cash, check, or charge it to your bursar account.
