History of Chapter Awards
Each year, the national office of Alpha Lambda Delta awards individual chapters with various honors that represent their hardwork and achievements throughout the school year. These awards consist of the Alpha, Lambda and Delta awards presented for significant increases in chapter membership, as well as the Order of the Torch and Maintaining the Flame. Chapters are eligible to win the Order of the Torch, an honor presented to the most outstanding chapters in the nation, every four years. In between receiving this honor, chapters are eligible to win Maintaining the Flame, which is presented to chapters who have continued to excel in programming, activities, and service.
