History
Founded in 1942, University College was one of the first academic units in the United States to focus on meeting the special needs of new students. Since then, many colleges and universities have patterned their programs for new freshmen on the University College model.
Currently located in the Carnegie Building, University College will move to the Lissa and Cy Wagner Student Academic Services Center in the Fall of 2008. This new building will house University College, the Writing Center, and numerous other departments that assist students.
