      Other Resources in the ALC
      For students who wish to use computer tutorials to improve study skills, math, reading and/or writing skills, the Assessment and Learning Center offers computer-based tutorials in the Learning Center at Carnegie Room 200.

      1) Study Skills software tutorials are available to help in the following areas:
      • Time Management
      • Taking Lecture Notes
      • Reading Textbooks
      • Test Preparation/Taking Exams
      • General Study Tips & Figuring GPA

      2) Writing Skills tutorials are available for basic grammar and punctuation and to study for the Writing Skills Test (WST).

      3) Math tutorials include review of Pre-algebra, Algebra I and Algebra II, as well as Trigonometry. Software tutorials for specific developmental math classes are available, as are Math Lectures (which cover specific areas) on video.

      4) Tutorials for the GRE, LSAT, and GMAT examinations are available online at www.4tests.com. Videos are available to improve skills in:

      • Preparing for Finals
      • Test Taking Skills
      • Textbook Reading
      • Taking Multiple Choice Exams
      • Improving Motivation and Concentration
      • Lecture Note-taking
      • Time Management
      • Reading Efficiency
