The Student Learning Center, a department of University College (UC), offers free tutoring sessions through UC Action. This nationally, CRLA Certified service offers walk-in, small group appointments, online tutoring, and/or faculty directed sessions to help students take action towards their own academic success. See below for details and schedules.

UC Action Walk-In Schedules

 

The Spring 2012 UC Action walk-in (January 23 - May 4, 2012) schedule can be downloaded as a PDF document (requires a PDF reader)--note that this schedule may change several times the first couple weeks of classes, so check back often.  UC Action Appointments will begin January 30, 2012, and can be searched at tutor.ou.edu.

** The Housing Learning Center is located at Adams Center Residence, Muldrow Tower 105

UC Action is available Fall and Spring semesters from the 2nd week of class through dead week, but closed for University/Student Holidays, weather closings, and Summers. Schedules are posted here at the beginning of each semester. UC Action sessions are offered mostly at Wagner Hall (1005 Asp Avenue, southeast of the Union) and the Housing Learning Center (Adams Center, Muldrow Tower, room 105), with modern language tutoring at the Modern Languages Learning Center (Kaufman Hall 228).

 

  • Action Centers are free, walk-in academic assistance sessions staffed by faculty or GTAs and often trained, undergraduate Peer Learning Assistants (PLAs).
  • Action Tutoring sessions offer free, walk-in academic assistance staffed by trained, undergraduate Peer Learning Assistants (PLAs).
  • Action Appointments offer free, small group assistance by appointment starting during the 3rd week of the semester. Some subjects are available in online sessions (live, shared whiteboard, webcam/mic enabled). Click above to learn how to book, or watch this 4-minute video.
