The information contained within this checklist is applicable to the University of Oklahoma Biological Station and surrounding areas such as Juniper Point, Fobb Bottom WMA and the south-central region of Oklahoma.

Dates of expected occurrence were taken from: Oklahoma Bird Records Committee. 2000. Date Guide to the Occurrences of Birds in Oklahoma. Oklahoma Ornithological Society, Tulsa, Oklahoma. 

Key to described abundance: 
A- Abundant, Should be encountered in numbers in suitable habitat during expected dates.
C- Common, Likely to be sighted on most birding trips during expected dates.
U- Uncommon, Unlikely to be encountered, but occasional sightings should be expected.
R- Rare, Unlikely to be encountered and any sightings should be reported to the Oklahoma Bird Records Committee.
