The University of Oklahoma Biological Station (UOBS) was founded in 1949 and is a permanent, year-round field station located on the north shore of Lake Texoma (Oklahoma-Texas border), approximately 2 hours south of the main campus in Norman. The Station’s primary objective is to promote research and education in ecology, evolutionary biology and field biology. Our facilities are open to scientists and graduate students world-wide for research and study. This is the first university-affiliated research facility to be established on a man-made lake.
