The University of Oklahoma Biological Station regularly hosts programs for elementary through high school students and educators. Programs are organized and administered by the participating organization with the station’s personnel providing facility tours, research presentations and educational activities upon prior arrangement.
Recent educational groups to visit the station include SOSU Upward Bound, QuESTT Upward Bound and Summer Academy.
While housing is available for visiting groups, participants are responsible for their own bed linens, towels and toilettes. Sleeping bags are strongly recommended as rooms may consist of a combination of beds (e.g. full, sofa bed, twin and bunk bed).
By reservation, visitors take advantage of the station’s food services. Meals prepared by the UOBS staff are served cafeteria-style in a dining room.
Guests of the station have the opportunity to utilize the station’s exceptional facilities during their stay. Classrooms, a computer lab and the library are all available along with the station’s variety of recreational amenities.
RATES
Educational housing rates are $15.50 per person per night. The daily meal rate is $21.00 per person and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Rates are subject to change, please confirm rates when scheduling a visit.
