SCHOLARSHIPS
Scholarship Application - pdf file
The Loren G. Hill Biological Station Endowment has been providing scholarships for students attending summer session classes at the University of Oklahoma Biological Station. Thanks to the Friends of the University of Oklahoma Biological Station, additional scholarship funding sources have been established. These scholarship funds include: Biological Station Scholarship, Carl Riggs and Pat Bynum Riggs Scholarship, Dr. Harley P. Brown Scholarship, Friends of the University of Oklahoma Biological Station Endowed Scholarship, and the Joy Brown Catron Scholarship Fund. These scholarships help defray the costs of tuition and are primarily merit based, but financial need is also taken into consideration. Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher will be considered first. Scholarship applications will not be processed without the required names and contact information of two references and disclosure of previous assistance received.
The May session scholarship application deadline is April 30, 2010 and the August session application deadline is July 9, 2009. One scholarship application may be submitted to apply for both sessions. Scholarship decisions are made solely by the UOBS Scholarship Committee.
SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNTS FOR SUMMER SESSION COURSES
- $300.00-$500.00
- Commuter Scholarship $ 100.00
Students are also encouraged to apply for assistance through the Financial Aid Services at financialaid.ou.edu. The College of Arts and Sciences web site also contains information about additional scholarship opportunities.
