COURSES TAUGHT
YEARS TEACHING
FOR SCIENCE EDUCATION STUDENTS INDICATE:
YEAR OF STUDY DEGREE
To be eligible for a scholarship, participants will be required to arrive at the Biological station by 6 pm Friday for dinner and the evening talk and stay until 3 pm Sunday.
Also: Each participant is required to participate in a group discussion of some aspect of evolutionary teaching that they would like to share with others in the workshop. It is not necessary to give an elaborate presentation with Power Point slides, etc. You may want to share a favorite lesson plan or laboratory exercise that provides your students with a greater understanding of evolution or seek an answer to some problem that you have encountered in teaching evolution, either with some aspect of evolution or with students’ objections to evolution.
Some of you may be hesitant to present. Don’t be. It is exciting to work with a diversity of teachers who share the same goal of involving students in learning about evolution and all will benefit from the interaction with other participants.
Please provide a one or two sentence description of what you would like to discuss:
Selection of participants will be based on a variety of considerations, including representatives from both large and small schools and geographic distribution within Oklahoma.
