UOSA Spring General Elections will be held April 1st & 2nd at http://elections.ou.edu/
DEADLINE TO FILE IS THURSDAY MARCH 6, 2008, 5pm. NO EXCEPTIONS. Do you want to get involved on campus?

UOSA will be taking applications for:
- UOSA President & Vice President
- UOSA Campus Activities Council Chair
- Over 30 UOSA Undergraduate Student Congress Seats
- Housing Center Student Association President
- Student Bar Association President
- National Panhellenic Council President
- Latino Greek Council President
Filling applications are available from Monday, March 3, 2008 at the UOSA office on the first floor of the Conoco Student Leadership Center, OMU 181 in the Student Union or DOWNLOAD HERE.

- Improved Online Voting and Election System with OUIT
- Accountability and transparency in Course Specific Fees
- Renovated 3rd floor Conoco Student Leadership Wing into Student Organization Lounge and Meeting Room
- Have advocated for students at the state capitol to keep tuition increase low
- Hosted first ever Council of Student Organizations Meeting promoting communication with Student Organizations regarding UOSA services and budget process
- Advocated for more parking spaces along Elm Ave
- Advised administration on University Textbook Library
- Building a sidewalk for South Greek Students
- Revitalized the Union Basement for student organizations storage
- Adding Blue Lights to North and South Greek to promote safety
- Changed the fiscal year to better accomodate student organizations
- Advised administration during installation of wireless internet on OU Campus
- Allocated funds to Student Organizations
- Allocate graduate research grants
- Checkout free equipment for Student Organizations
- Continue free laptop checkouts
- Howdy Week, Homecoming, Family Weekend, Winter Welcome Week, Parents Weekend etc.

100 Ideas Oklahoma $12,500 Scholarship

Dear students,
100 Ideas Oklahoma is offering a $12,500 scholarship for the best idea for Oklahoma submitted by a student.
The contest is open to all Oklahoma high school and college students. Applicants must submit a one page essay to accompany their idea, as well as a brief outline about the idea. Applications should be mailed to 100 Ideas Initiative, P.O. Box 57641, Oklahoma City, OK 73157.

The top submission will be chosen by 100 Ideas Co-Chairs—former Oklahoma governors David Boren, George Nigh, Frank Keating, and Oklahoma House Speaker Lance Cargill. The scholarship can be used for tuition at any college or university.
Deadline for entries is Oct. 31, 2007. Winners will be announced at the Oklahoma Political Science Association awards dinner Nov. 8.

The 2007-2008 UOSA President and Vice President are taking applications for Department Coordinators and Office Members 2007-2008. The Coordinators will work very closely with the Department Directors to advocate for the position of the students in implementing new programs to help students, in improving existing campus services and in increasing the quality of life here at the University of Oklahoma.

Aquatics Facility Project Planning Process
& UOSA Aquatics Task Force Recruitment
The Aquatics Center Task Force was created in Fall 2005, to research into the possibility of a New Swim Complex. UOSA received positive results to continue the research from a survey of over 1000 OU Students in the Spring 2006.
This Spring 2007, UOSA is continuing to investigate the possibilities of a new aquatic center on campus by directly gathering student input through FOCUS GROUP SESSIONS.
