Amenities available at University Research Campus

Listed below are University amenities for use by Research Campus employees. These amenities are provided as a courtesy and are subject to availability as University faculty, staff and students will receive first priority. All such amenities, including any fees charged, are subject to change, modification or elimination without notice, at the exclusive discretion of the University.

Research Campus employees may access these amenities by using their “Research Campus” identification cards. In cases where an application is required, employees will be asked to show their RC-ID before the application is approved. RC-IDs may be obtained through the University’s OneCard Office, which is located in room 137 of the Oklahoma Memorial Union. Bizzell Memorial Library

The University’s main library on the Norman Campus, along with its satellite branches, offers book check-out privileges. The Library will issue annual permits to interested Research Campus employees. Along with a copy of their RC-ID, individuals and/or groups are asked to provide the following information to the main library (on company letterhead): name, office address and phone number, home address and phone number, social security or passport number, and dates of usage (if temporary). Please contact at (405) 325-1918 for additional information. Access to databases subscribed to by the library is not available off-campus to Research Campus employees; individuals may request guest log-ins and use the databases at campus libraries.

Crawford University Club

Located in the Oklahoma Memorial Union, the Crawford University Club is a private restaurant providing food and beverage services to University faculty, staff, graduate students, and community. The Club is also available for receptions, buffets, luncheons, showers, dinner parties, and more. Research Campus employees may request individual and/or group memberships. Jimmie Austin OU Golf Course | The OU Golf Club

(Jimmie Austin Championship Golf Course and Cobblestone Creek, a par 3)

Limited public tee times, the Jimmie Austin Championship Golf Course is located at One Par Drive in Norman and the Cobblestone Creek, a par 3 is located at 1350 Cobblestone Creek Drive in Norman. Research Campus employees are eligible to receive the University’s discounted faculty/staff rates and may pay green fees or apply for an annual membership. Employees will need to show their RC-ID to access the University rates. Athletic Events

With the exception of football and men’s basketball games, Research Campus employees may receive the University’s faculty/staff rates for sporting events. Employees may visit the Ticket Office in room 33 of the Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, call (405) 325-8500 or send e-mail to outickets@ou.edu for additional information or schedules.

Goddard Health Center

Located at 620 Elm Avenue (adjacent to central campus), OU Health Services provides a variety of health services including medical, physical therapy and pharmaceutical. Most insurances can be filed by OU Health Services. Individuals utilizing OU Health Services who are not covered by a University endorsed or student plan must pay at the time of service and will receive a refund if insurance pays. Child Care Providers

There are many licensed child-care facilities and homes in Cleveland County, which includes the City of Norman. Research Campus employees may access the Oklahoma Department of Human Services website for a list of these providers; or contact Rainbow Fleet, the regional office for Oklahoma Child Care. Cultural Offerings

The University’s College of Fine Arts produces a dazzling and diverse offering of concerts, recitals, dramas, musicals and dance performances each year, as well as numerous art exhibitions. Research Campus employees may attend these events at the faculty/staff rate by presenting their RC-ID. Visit the website for more information. Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History

This Museum features over 300 million years of Oklahoma’s natural history and can be seen in a 195,000 square foot facility. Five galleries feature thousands of artifacts in 50,000 square feet of exhibit space. The Museum offers a discount for U.S. military personnel and their families. Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art

The University of Oklahoma’s Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art is widely regarded as one of the finest university art museums in the United States. The museum’s growing collection features nearly 17,000-objects. Highlights include the Weitzenhoffer Collection of French Impressionism, the Eugene B. Adkins Collection of art of the American Southwest and Native American art, the James T. Bialac Native American Art Collection, 20th century American painting and sculpture, ceramics, photography, contemporary art, Asian art, and works on paper from the 16th century to the present. Temporary exhibitions are mounted throughout the year that explore the art of various periods and cultures. Admission is always free, thanks to the generous support of the OU Office of the President and the OU Athletics Department.

Parking Permits

Permits required for parking on the Research Campus, may be obtained through the University’s Parking Office which is located in the Jenkins Parking Garage located at 1332 Jenkins Ave. Research Campus employees will be asked to show their RC-ID at the time of application. Real Estate Operations will handle the request for permits for commercial tenants on the Research Campus.

Physical Fitness Centers

The Sarkeys Fitness Center features: eight basketball/volleyball/badminton courts, five racquetball courts, a squash court, 1/6th mile indoor track, two large multi-purpose activity rooms, two weight room areas, a large cardio room with mounted flat-screen TVs, a climbing wall, a personal training room, and a massage therapy room. Membership includes use of the facilities including the Murray Case Sells Swim Complex (MCSSC), FIT classes, a locker, towel use at the HHFC, and other amenities provided to faculty and staff. Family members residing in the same household and at least 18-years of age may join the facility in addition to the Research Campus employee.

Tom Love Innovation Hub

Now open on the University Research Campus, the Tom Love Innovation Hub includes state-of-the-art digital fabrication facilities, business incubation and co-working space, immersive visualization facilities, data management and informatics consultation, a fitness center for tenants of the Research Campus, and a café so that work can be focused upon with minimal disruptions – all allowing users to reimagine research, learning/teaching innovation and entrepreneurship. The goal? Product realization, analytics, data visualization, tech-facilitated instruction, research and more.

Data Center

The Data Center, located in Four Partners Place, can be leveraged for hosting purposes. Some basic specifications include:

  • Power Capacity: 500kVA A – 250kVA A/B
  • Power Redundancy: Dual Utility Feeds, two plants A & A/B with UPS and Generators
    Cooling Redundancy: Chill Water from Central Plant, Dual Loop Lines through DC, N+1 Backup Chillers, N+1 CRAC Unit

OU IT

The Research Campus maintains co-location space for several ISPs, including – AT&T, Cox Communications, Indian Nations, OneNet, and Pioneer. Private tenants can use any of these ISPs for their connectivity needs. All Partners Place buildings have wireless connectivity. Non-OU users (affiliates, visitors, etc.) can use OUGUEST for basic/temporary internet connectivity. Some basic specifications include:

  • 1 GB to Desktop and 10 GB to the Internet capability
  • On site supercomputing resources
  • Guest wireless connectivity
  • Support for 24/7 operations

Conference/Collaboration Rooms

Tenants at the University Research Campus have access to three different conference rooms located throughout the Partners Place buildings, with plans for more facilities to be added in the future. Conference rooms are of varying sizes, with larger rooms accommodating up to 16 people. Zoom compatible systems, projectors and LCD screens, sound systems and privacy shades are available.
