David Kang is Associate Professor of Government, and Adjunct Associate Professor and Research Director at the Center for International Business at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He is finishing a book on East Asian responses to China, titled "China Reassures Asia: the micro foundations of hierarchy." He has also written "Crony Capitalism: Corruption and Development in South Korea and the Philippines (Cambridge, 2002), and "Nuclear North Korea: A Debate on Engagement Strategies," (with Victor Cha, Columbia, 2003). His scholarly articles have appeared in journals such as International Organization, International Security, Comparative Politics, International Studies Quarterly, Political Science Quarterly, and World Development. He is a media frequent commentator in print, radio, and television. He received an A.B. with honors from Stanford University and his Ph.D. from Berkeley. |
