Zhou Wenzhong has served as ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the United States since 2005. Ambassador Zhou’s career in China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has spanned more than three decades, and has included serving as ambassador to Australia from 1998 to 2001, as assistant minister of Foreign Affairs from 2001 to 2003 and as vice minister of Foreign Affairs from 2003 to 2005.
