About Us

The University of Oklahoma and the Vietnam Education Foundation Alliance

The Vietnam Education Foundation is an independent U.S. Federal agency created to promote closer relations between the U.S. and Vietnam. The VEF strengthens the scientific, engineering, medical, and technology communities of Vietnam through educational exchange and scientific and technical cooperation with the U.S. In an open, competitive process, the VEF Fellowship Program selects outstanding students and awards them fellowships for study at VEF Alliance schools.

The University of Oklahoma is a member of the VEF Alliance, a group of comprehensive research universities chosen by the VEF to accept graduate students recommended and supported by the Foundation. OU has a demonstrated commitment to international exchange in education and research. VEF Fellows who study at OU join a community of more than 50 Vietnamese undergraduate and graduate students and more than 1600 international scholars from 106 nations.
