Junior Achievement
Junior Achievement of Greater OKC is gearing up for our Spring 2008 classes and we need volunteers! Our traditional school program consists of going into a class to teach financial literacy during one class period (up to one hour), once per week for approximately 5-10 weeks depending on the grade level.
You can also participate in a “Done in a Day” program which consists of going to a school and presenting all of the lessons in one day in the classroom. JA provides a curriculum kit filled with all of the materials (including volunteer lesson plan guide) for each volunteer free of charge.

December 2008:
Meals on Wheels
The Meals on Wheels Annual Poinsettia Sale is Wednesday, December 3, 2008. We are in desperate need of individuals to help us deliver the poinsettias. Over half of the plants (around 2,000) will need to be delivered to local businesses in the Norman area. While most of the deliveries are in Norman, we do have some that are in OKC area, so if anyone has time and is willing to deliver to MOW, that would be wonderful.
If the volunteers want to meet at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds (located at 615 E. Robinson) beginning at around 9:30am or whenever they can, we can set them up with a delivery route, map, and plants that are needed to be delivered. It sounds confusing, but usually goes really smoothly and everything is separated ahead of time. We try to make it as easy as possible for all the volunteers delivering.
