Description of Position:
The TeenScreen Assistant/Intern will assist in administering a mental health/suicide risk screening instrument to participation students in OKC middle and high schools. Assistant/Intern will engage and interact with student in an effort to administer the screening, score the screening, and provide a debrief interview to the students upon completion. Assistant/Intern will work with Program Coordinator to deliver classroom presentations in effort to inform students of program and to encourage participation. Assist with referrals and identification of community resources as needed.
Qualifications: General knowledge of behavioral health issues. Good oral and written communication skills, majoring in psychology, social services, counseling, social work, etc. Ability to accept and be open to feedback from Program Coordinator. Prior history of working with teens is helpful.
National Crime Information Center Verification
This volunteer position is at the Norman Police Department and requires about 4 hrs per week with flexible hours between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. any day of the week after being trained.
This is a long term federally mandated function involving the verification from victims that stolen property, stolen cars, missing persons, etc that are entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) computers have not been recovered or found. The job will entail phoning or writing to victims and some data entry. Good oral and writing skills are necessary. Safe Kids Oklahoma is an injury prevention program at the OU Medical Center. Each month we have a variety of events ranging from car seat checks, health fairs, bike rodeos, and water safety events, etc. We are always in need of volunteers for these events and are happy to write a letter of acknowledgement to whomever volunteers with us.

TUESDAY TUTORS
Tuesday Tutors, a tutoring program for Norman Public Schools students grades 6 thru 12, needs volunteer tutors. HEALTH FOR FRIENDS
needs volunteers to help with administrative and office tasks such as reception and other customer service tasks, filing, and assisting with the processing of other paperwork such as prescription assistance applications.
Help is needed any time during office hours, Monday through Friday 8-12 and 1-5.
Bilingual volunteers are also desperately needed for certain clinics for Spanish to English translation, especially Monday Tuesday and Wednesday mornings 8-12.
