Description: A national voluntary health organization helping the over 46 million Americans who have doctor-diagnosed arthritis take greater control of their disease through a variety of actions.

Volunteers Needed: Help with special events such as Arthritis Walk and Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis, including event day preparation, recruitment, and event day help. Staff health fair booths or exhibits, become a program leader, and help in the office.

Description: Improve lives through the leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases.

Description: Crisis Pregnancy Center provides free pregnancy testing and limited ultrasounds as well as various information, education and encouraging support for pregnant women and their unborn babies.

Description: We are a fundraising organization that engages in outreach and raising money to fund research to find a cure for diabetes and its complications. We fund world-class research, including research at the OUHSC.

Volunteers Needed: Volunteers are needed for phone calls, website updates, computer work, mailings, moving boxes, organizing, filing, and copying. We have two major events each year: a black-tie gala in the fall and a walk in the spring and are always in need of volunteers for those events.

Volunteers Needed: Help in office, setting up booths, work at the annual state wide conference, and our annual walk-a-thon. Description: Our mission is to support individuals and families affected by lupus and increase awareness of lupus among health professionals and the public.

Volunteers Needed: Need someone who has IT experience to assist in the office - this can be one time or on a short term basis. Answer phones, help man booths at health fairs and other venues. Also, we will be having a Loop the Capitol event in October that we will need assistance with.

Description: We are an “inpatient” psychiatric treatment facility; the length of stay for a child is usually two to four weeks. We offer various therapeutic activities at the center, such as pet therapy, music therapy, team sports, fitness/strengthening, arts and crafts and community outings.

Volunteers Needed: Work with a patient individually and assist with our groups (must be 21 years of age). Have a group or your student organization throw special parties for the kids.

Description: Provides a home away from home for families of seriously ill children being treated at area hospitals.

Volunteers Needed: A variety of volunteer opportunities exist at the Ronald McDonald House. Needs range from receptionist work, preparing or warming meals for our guest families, cleaning, painting, planting flowers, etc. There are also special events as well as fundraising opportunities. We need volunteers for our annual events: Thunder Run in August, Lighthouse Triathlon in August, and the Red Shoe Gala in November.

Description: A private, non-profit pediatric hospital for medically fragile children ages birth to 18 years. We provide 24-hour medical care, rehabilitative therapies, respiratory therapies, special education, and outpatient services to children from Oklahoma and the surrounding states.

Volunteers Needed: Cuddling and rocking infants, reading and tutoring, classroom assistance, special events and gardening and lawn care. The center will provide all necessary training for volunteers who are accepted. No medical experience or knowledge is required.
