OU2GO: The Official OU iPhone Application

home screen of OU2GO iPhone application

The University of Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma, has just released OU2GO—the official University of Oklahoma iPhone application.  OU2GO features a Norman campus map, weather information, and OU news feed along with access to OU’s YouTube channel, KGOU radio, and campus information.  Users may also listen to listen to OU fight songs as played by the Pride of Oklahoma!

OU2GO was developed by a team of 11 student interns -- 6 computer science students and 5 interdisciplinary students from OU's Center for Creation of Economic Wealth.  Students performed the application’s technical and business development with the guidance of an OU professor of computer science and input and feedback from representatives across campus.  Students were eligible for class credit, and will continue to contribute to the future development of the application.

Features:

--Campus Map: pan and zoom across the map with the interactive interface, search for buildings, mark favorites, and access information about department locations and phone numbers.

--Weather: view current campus conditions, a 7 day and hourly forecast, and current radar.

--News Feed: select from a number of OU news sources to access information about campus, sports, and OU departments.

--Media: OU YouTube channel and streaming audio from KGOU.

--Tradition: play OU fight songs, look up information about the university, and access OU facts.
