Artist Lecture on Role of Visual Design in Innovation

The University of Oklahoma School of Art and Art History and the Visual Communications department is proud to present “The Role of Visual Design in Innovation” an artist lecture given by Denise Burton of Frog Design, at 11:30 a.m., on Thursday Nov. 5, in the Heritage Room located inside the Oklahoma Memorial Union.

Frog Design is a global innovation firm that works with the world's leading companies, helping them to create and bring to market meaningful products, services, and experiences. With a team of more than 400 designers, technologists, strategists, and analysts, Frog delivers fully convergent experiences that span multiple technologies, platforms, and media. Frog Design works across a broad spectrum of industries, including consumer electronics, telecommunications, healthcare, media, education, finance, retail, and fashion.

At Frog Design, Burton has led and participated in award-winning mobile, web, and application projects for both consumers and enterprises. She brings more than 17 years of experience in user research, information architecture, interaction design, and usability to her work. She created and has fostered the design analyst role at Frog Design. Some of the clients she has worked for include: Alltel, Dell, HP, Microsoft, Nextel, SAP, Sprint, Sun, T-Mobile, and Yahoo.

Currently, Burton is one of the Frog Design’s mobile experts. She has created future mobile vision concepts for global leading carriers and handset providers. She has also created, built and delivered cutting edge mobile user interfaces, which have won awards and delighted users. She has written the Frog Design touch guidelines, and oversees many of the mobile projects at Frog Design across a range of platforms including Brew and Android.
