OU Chrysanthemum Gardens in Full Bloom

OU Chrysanthemum Gardens in Full Bloom

More than 15,000 mums and 5,000 little Joseph’s coat plants dress up OU's South Oval during 2014 Homecoming week.

Named one of the nation’s most beautiful college campuses, the University of Oklahoma attracts thousands of visitors each fall to view its outstanding chrysanthemum gardens. This year’s theme is “Sooner Nation.” Over 15,000 mums and 5,000 little Joseph’s coat plants were used in this year’s design. They are planted to reach peak bloom during Homecoming week so that OU students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends as well as visitors to campus can enjoy the display. This year’s design reflects the tradition and history of OU’s colors and logo.
