#SoonerWknd: Halloween in OKC, Day of the Dead & Karaoke

BOO! It’s Halloween time: Have a spooky weekend with parades, Day of the Dead and "Rocky Horror."

*Oct. 30-Nov. 1

1. 'Rocky Horror Show'

All in the spirit of Halloween, University Theatre presents “The Rocky Horror Show." Come and bring a friend to hold hands with during the scary parts. Catch it at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday or the 11:30 p.m. showing on Halloween night. Advanced purchase tickets are $10 for students and $25 for the general public. Bonus points for dressing up as your favorite character.

2. Day of the Dead Street Festival

It’s a Sunday Funday full of tradition, games, food, art, music and more. Come out to the Lloyd Noble Center between 4 and 10:30 p.m. Sunday to celebrate the centuries-old Hispanic tradition of the Day of the Dead. Admission is free, including the concert featuring Grammy-nominated El Dasa. Be a part of making OU's Dia de los Muertos the biggest one yet. (Será muy divertido!)

3. Costume Karaoke

Who doesn’t love singing in a costume? (Right?) Get your songs ready for some free karaoke. It all starts at 10 p.m. Saturday night at the Opolis. Bust out your best costumes and warm up your vocals cords because it will be a night full of fun and laughs.
