NORMAN – University of Oklahoma President David L. Boren today announced that OU’s 2016 freshman class has set an all-time high academic record.
“The OU family is proud that the university continues to set new records for academic excellence,” said OU President David L. Boren.
OU welcomed the largest and highest academically ranked incoming freshman class in the history of the University. The incoming freshmen class has the highest average ACT score, 26.5. The class also includes 486 students who had perfect 4.0 academic averages in high school. The entering class is also the most diverse class in school history with an increase in the number of minority students enrolled.
