Day Software released an upgrade to our current enterprise-level CMS in early 2009: Communiqué (CQ) 5. Development on the new system is currently underway and will host new functionality including a much more user-friendly author environment and new components.

Portal Project

Want the most out of your OU website?  It's headed your way. A customizable information portal, developed to meet the needs of OU's internal users (current students, faculty, staff, researchers, etc.) is in the works. It will give you access to things like schedules, transcripts, financial aid, recruiting and admissions information and more!

Internal users will have the ability to personalize pages to keep track of frequently used links and content. You will also have the capability to manage student test and assessment scores, attendance and many other student-related data needs. 

Campus-Wide Calendar

Day Software is working with us to develop a calendar system within the CMS. This calendar will give departments on campus the opportunity to create and share public events with other calendars, including a main campus-wide calendar. Features will include workflow for event approvals, web-based authoring, multiple views, event sharing and real-time updates. The calendar is currently in Beta release from Day Software and will be released to campus after customization.

Web Guide

There are infinite ways to design a site or create content. Because many different people visit various sites under the ou.edu umbrella, the university has adopted a standard to create consistency and allow a user-friendly web experience. Still, these standards should not inhibit a site's individuality or creativity. We've developed some easy-to-follow guidelines which will make your site simple to use. Read more about the Web Guide.
