New OU Home Page.
August 10th heralded the first landmark in overhauling ou.edu to better reflect The University and provide a more user-friendly experience. An audience survey was conducted to gauge the response of the new homepage. The results were overwhelmingly positive. You can see some of them on our research page.
Portal Project.
Want the most out of your OU website? It's headed your way. A customizable information portal, developed to meet the needs of OU's internal users (current students, faculty, staff, researchers, etc.), is in the works. It will give you access to things like schedules, transcripts, financial aid, recruiting and admissions information and more!
Internal users will have the ability to personalize pages to keep track of frequently used links and content. You will also have the capability to manage student test and assessment scores, attendance and many other student-related data needs.
Design and Content Standards.
There are infinite ways to design a site or create content. Because many different people visit various sites under the ou.edu umbrella, The University must adopt a standard to create consistency and allow a user-friendly environment. Still, these standards should not inhibit a site's individuality or creativity. We're developing some easy-to-follow guidelines, which will make your site simple to use.
