Nathalie Handal

Nathalie Handal's recent books include Love and Strange Horses, winner of the 2011 Gold Medal Independent Publisher Book Award, and Poet in Andalucía (Spring 2012). She has read her poetry worldwide, is a Lannan Foundation Fellow, recipient of the Alejo Zuloaga Order in Literature 2011, and an Honored Finalist for the Gift of Freedom Award. As a juror for the 2012 Neustadt International Prize for Literature, she nominated Chilean writer Diamela Eltit for the award.

Bob Madey is a New York-based filmmaker. His cinematographic work is as diverse aesthetically as it is thematically, from the global AIDs epidemic, leprosy in the South Pacific, the environmental movement, to improvisational folk theater in India and poetry. He is currently producing and directing a feature-length documentary on his grandfather, Ilya Abu Madi, a pioneering Lebanese American poet and journalist.
