Vincent Harper , M.A.

Sooner Scholar

Mr. Vincent Harper joins The University of Oklahoma’s Special Education doctoral, as a Sooner Scholar, from Colorado Springs, CO where he served as a middle school assistant principal.  Mr. Harper earned a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Southern University at New Orleans in December of 2005, and a Master’s degree in Education Administration from California State University, Fullerton in May of 2000.  He has worked in elementary and secondary education for over 10 years, and has taught in Louisiana, Texas, California, and Colorado.  In that time, Mr. Harper worked extensively to develop collaborative relationships between schools, homes, and community agencies to provide integrated services to families and students considered at- risk for school failure.  Mr. Harper’s research interests include the development of systemic academic interventions that aid educators in the early identification and treatment of students who are considered at-risk of for school failure.
