CONTINUING FOR SPRING 2023!!!

The ADRC will be implementing a technology ban during finals week. Upon arrival at the ADRC, ALL electronic devices must be turned off and put away. Laptops for online exams may be kept but must be closed.
Written materials may be reviewed until it is time to begin the exam.

Students who arrive at the ADRC more than 10-minutes past the class exam start time must obtain instructor permission to take the exam, regardless of the student's scheduled start time in iAdvise.

If you require the use of electronics because of your registered disability, please contact Angela Barbour and/or Darcy Adams Maelzer as soon as you get to the Center.

All exam processes will remain in place with the following exceptions:

Proctoring Hours

  • Proctoring hours will expand to 8:00am through 5:00pm, Monday-Friday of finals week
    • MAKE SURE YOUR EXAM IS SCHEDULED TO START EARLY ENOUGH TO ALLOW FOR YOUR FULL EXAM TIME!!!
      • Proctoring hours will not be extended for exams which are not scheduled early enough in the day to allow sufficient time or which are delayed as a result of the student not scheduling early enough in advance

Scheduling Requirements

  • Students must schedule their exams at least five university business days in advance
    • Exams scheduled less than five university business days in advance are subject to space availability and may not be able to be taken at the ADRC
  • Students are expected to schedule their exams to begin at the same time as the university scheduled final exam time for that course
    • If this time is unavailable, students may schedule the exam for 15-minutes before or up to 30-minutes after
    • Examples:
      • 8:00am-10:00am final 
        • Schedule at 8:00am, 8:15am, or 8:30am
      • 10:30am-12:30pm final 
        • Schedule at 10:15am, 10:30am, 10:45am, or 11:00am
      • 1:00pm-3:00pm final 
        • Schdule at 12:45pm, 1:00pm, 1:15pm, or 1:30pm

 

  • IMPORTANT!!! Students are still expected to check-in at the ADRC no later than 10-minutes after the time indicated on the proctoring form REGARDLESS OF THE SCHEDULED TIME IN IADVISE unless prior arrangements have been made in writing with the professor.
    • Students checking-in at the ADRC more than 10-minutes past the time indicated on the proctoring form will require written instructor permission to begin their exam.
    • By checking-in at the time on the proctoring form, our team can protect you from any potential allegations of inappropriate contact with students taking the exam in class.

Exam Delivery

  • Exam materials are expected to be delivered to the ADRC at least two full university business days in advance, excluding weekends
    • Monday exam materials should be sent to the ADRC no later than the Thursday prior
    • Instructors wishing to deliver exam materials in person should do so two university business days in advance or notify the ADRC via email of when they intend to drop off exam materials

Drop-Off Hours

  • Exam materials may be dropped off at the ADRC at any time during the day, however the following times are recommended to avoid potential delays:
    • 7:45am - 8:00am
    • 10:30am - 12:30pm
    • 3:30pm - 5:00pm

Late Exam Deliveries

  • Exams for which materials have not been received by 3:00pm on the day prior to the exam will be proctored by the ADRC as schedules permit to perpare the exam
    • If the ADRC does not have sufficient time to prepare the student's exam prior to their arrival, the exam must be rescheduled with the instructor at the student’s convenience
    • As availability permits, the ADRC will proctor the exam on a different day, however should there be no available space the instructor will be responsible for proctoring the exam with the student’s accommodations

Pick-Up Hours

  • Completed exam materials may be picked up at the ADRC at any time during the day, however the following times are recommended to avoid potential delays:
    • 10:30am - 12:30pm
    • 3:30pm - 5:00pm
