Top Life Defining Moments in Higher Education:
- Being encouraged to pursue graduate school by a professor that I really admired and respected (in my freshman year!)
- Receiving the Gilman scholarship to study abroad in Tanzania.
- Becoming a McNair Scholar and embracing my first-generation identity. Having the courage to accept UCLA's offer of admission and move across the country to pursue a graduate program.
While in college, I experienced:
