The University of Oklahoma is a safe campus, but bicycle loss and theft does happen. The OU Police Department and the Norman Police Department have joined forces to create a bicycle registration program available to any bicycle owner who keeps or uses a bicycle on campus or in Norman.
OU student, faculty and staff bicycle owners are strongly encouraged to register bicycles. Registration is free, quick and easy. Here’s how:
Register in person at the OU Police Department, 2775 Monitor Ave.
Registration hours are Monday through Friday 10 a.m.–noon and 1–3:30 p.m.
The best decal location is on the top side of the top tube, BENEATH THE SEAT (to avoid wear and weathering and to make removal difficult). This places it in a common location easily spotted by law enforcement and potential thieves. Don't affix the decal to the removable seat post!
If you have questions about bicycle registration, contact OUPD at (405) 325-2864 or email@example.com.
