Employer & Faculty Connection
We know employers who want to know you. Employers often ask for the contact information of faculty or staff who could help them to identify students. Ideally, employers would like to develop mutually beneficial relationships with faculty and staff, and can provide many forms of support. We can help facilitate that connection.
Personalized Career Advising
We help your students find the right fit. We help students determine the right career for their interests, career goals, skills, values, and personality. During their academic careers, students use the Career Center to develop essential job-search skills. We are a student's best resource for job outlook, salary, and employment trend information.
Career, Internship, & Job Fairs
Our career fairs attract many recruiters to one event. Our career fairs provide an excellent opportunity for your students to meet with representatives and establish a network of contacts from companies and industries of their choice. We will help your students research the employers beforehand and provide tips so they are prepared to effectively engage recruiters.
Mock Interview Program
We help students master the job interview. There is no better way to prepare for the job interview than by experiencing an "actual" interview. At the Career Center, our Graduate Assistants conduct mock interviews with your students. Afterwards, they provide a constructive critique of the student's performance and offer effective interview strategies.
We'll bring the information to your class. We specialize in conducting presentations to classes and student organizations about a host of career-related topics such as résumé writing, job search strategies, and interviewing skills. We can arrange presentations by professionals, who can relate their experiences and how their major has helped them in their careers. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a presentation.
Workshops & Information Sessions
Each semester, our team hosts a variety of in-person and virtual workshops and information sessions. These events might be co-programmed with employers, campus partners, or other career-related entities. We provide insight and assistance to students on topics like career fair preparation, résumé building, business etiquette, and even formal dining training.
