Don't Cancel Class

Need to be away from campus during your regularly scheduled class time or just wish to add a guest speaker to your syllabus? As an alternative to canceling your class, let a professional Career Advisor or trained Career Coach from the OU Career Center present to your students!

The “Don't Cancel Class” program was created to help both the professor and the students. Instead of canceling a class, that time can be used as an opportunity for students to learn more about the many career-related resources OU offers. The Career Center offers various presentations on career-related topics that can be taught to any student audience. Presentations can be targeted to a specific major or career field. We are also open to additional topic requests from faculty.

Use of this program can be arranged in advance, or, due to emergency or last minute situations, can be scheduled day-of, contingent upon the Career Advisor or Career Coach’s availability.
