Peter Olson's Bio

Peter Olson is a graduate fellow at the Carl Albert Congressional Research and Studies Center at the University of Oklahoma and a PhD candidate in political science. His research area focuses on interactions between advocacy coalitions in the congressional setting. He is particularly interested in how perceptions of nuclear safety vary between education and racial groups, and how that plays into congressional outcomes.

Peter previously earned a B.A. with honors Magna Cum Laude in Political Science at Calvin University in 2021. He also served as a research assistant for Professor Joel Westra on the Law of the Sea Treaty, and Professor Kevin Den Dulk on the returning citizens mapping project.
