Klaire Chandler

Klaire Chandler is an Archivist at the Carl Albert Congressional Research and Studies Center, University of Oklahoma. She earned a Master’s of Library Science and a Master’s of History through Simmons University’s dual-degree Archives Management program.

While at Simmons University, Klaire interned at the Center for the History of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, where she assisted with the intake and processing of archival collections related to public health.

As an archival assistant at the Harvard Plate Stacks Archive at the Harvard and Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, Klaire helped to complete the Digital Access to a Sky Century (DASCH) project. The multi-decade DASCH effort resulted in the digitization of nearly half a million glass plate astrophotographs stored at the Plate Stacks Archive. She also assisted with the installation of the exhibition 25 Stars: A Temporary Monument for Henrietta Swan Leavitt, as well as with major public events like the release of a commemorative American Quarter for Dr. Vera Rubin.
