The Department of Economics at the University of Oklahoma offers a Ph.D. program with fields of specialization in industrial organization, economic development, international economics and public economics. Our faculty members specialize in research in the fields of applied and theoretical microeconomics, development, industrial organization, international economics, international finance, labor economics, monetary economics, political economy, public finance, and urban economics.

Our faculty publishes in journals such as:  Journal of Economics, Race, and Policy, American Economic Review, Economic Journal, Economic Theory, European Economic Review, Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Finance, Journal of Industrial Economics, Journal of International Economics, Journal of Labor Economics, Journal of Money, Credit, & Banking, Journal of Public Economics, and Review of Economics & Statistics.
