Visiting Scholars and Speakers

Fall 2019
Ellen Stackable, founder and executive director of Poetic Justice, facilitated the writing workshop "Writing and the Human Factor" and delivered the keynote address for the 2019 FYC Awards Ceremony.

Spring 2019
Dr. Krista Ratcliffe, author of Rhetorical Listening: Identification, Gender, Whiteness, gave a master class on rhetorical listening, focusing on cultural logics. 

Fall 2018
Dr. Richard Miller, Professor of English at Rutgers University and co-author of Habits of the Creative Mind delivered "The Writer's Life: What Happens Next?" at the 2018 FYC Awards Ceremony.

Spring 2018
Dr. Kyle Jensen, Associate Professor and Director of First-Year Writing at the University of North Texas. "Responding to Neo-Facisim: The Vale of Kenneth Burke's The War of Words to the Contemporary Historical Moment"
