"I am studying a double-major in mathematics and astrophysics, and it has been very helpful in my physics courses to have a firm mathematical basis behind some of the topics covered in physics.

"I really enjoyed the "Physical Mathematics 1" course, which I took last semester, because it helped to explain the mathematics behind the differential equations I have seen this semester in my Physical Mechanics course.

"As I move forward in my career, having a math major will continue to be very useful as an aid in my astrophysics career, as well as being able to explain more advanced topics in mathematics which I have only worked with in very limited ways thus far, like graph theory. I look forward to the next two years of the math major."
