Profile

Ching Cheng Wei joined the Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Linguistics as a Chinese instructor in Fall 2006.

Ms. Wei earned a Master's degree in Second Language Teaching from the University of Oklahoma. Her area of research is in Language Learning and the effect that culture has on Language Learning. In her classrooms, she always expects high achivement from the students and creates frequent opportunities for students' successes. She thinks education is not only in the present life, but also in the life of the future. After taking her courses, many of her students have participated in various programs to continue studying Chinese.  

Ms. Wei teaches Beginning and Intermediate Chinese. These courses facilitate students with the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing in the introductory and intermediate level.

Ms. Wei also served as a affiliated faculty of the OU Institute for US-China Issues.
