Profile

Christian Doig studied Literature at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, from which he received a bachelor’s degree, and a licentiate in Hispanic Literature with a thesis on Gothic fiction in the cinema of Luis Buñuel --a dissertation directed by Giovanna Pollarolo. Doig got his Master of Arts in Spanish (Literature) from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, with a thesis on Alfredo Bryce Echenique’s Un mundo para Julius and its place within the Bildungsroman genre --a dissertation directed by César Ferreira. Doig is currently pursuing his PhD at the University of Oklahoma, in Norman, where he is already preparing his doctoral thesis, while also continuing his teaching of Spanish for undergraduate students.
