Dr. Harris-Watson is an Assistant Professor of Psychology in the industrial/organizational area. Her research focuses on the role of individual differences, including personality and intelligence, at work. Her primary work explores three broad themes: (1) applied psychometrics and individual difference measurement; (2) trait configurations (e.g., trait by trait interactions); and (3) the role of individual differences in interpersonal dynamics at work, including leadership, teams, and collaboration between humans and artificial intelligence teammates. Examples of ongoing projects include exploring how leader-follower personality configurations impact perceived leadership and how humans perceive the social attributes of robotic teammates.
Prior to joining the psychology faculty at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Harris-Watson was a postdoctoral research fellow at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL. She received her Ph.D. in industrial/organizational psychology from the University of Georgia in Athens, GA, and her B.A. in psychology from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN.
