Lexy is a meteorologist software instructor for the Radar & Applications Course (RAC), a class in partnership with the National Weather Service (NWS) for new-hires. Her role within the NWS Warning Decision Training Division (WDTD) is on the AWIPS team, focusing heavily on Hazard Services related training for focal points and forecasters. Lexy has a passion for fostering engagement between students and professionals and advancing the warning paradigm to better communicate weather hazards to the communities we serve.

Outside of her direct profession, Lexy has volunteered for a variety of American Meteorological Society (AMS) committees. She is a member of the AMS Weather Analysis and Forecasting committee. Additionally, she is a past member of the AMS Board for Operational Government Meteorologists (BOGM) and Annual Meeting Oversight Committee (AMOC).
