Scheduling of the Cleaning of Pre-heating
Trains
We offer
a unique
technique that determines the optimal schedule to clean the
different heat exchangers of a pre-heating train. The
technique :
- Considers the cost of cleaning
- Takes into account the eventual throughput loss.
- Takes into account the energy surge when an exchanger goes
off line.
- Considers the future plant turnarounds.
- Considers likely variations in energy prices.
- Is suitable for any configuration
- Takes into account the uncertainties in future processing
(different crudes) and the corresponding fouling
coefficients
- Is capable of handling logistic and process constraints
(maximum number of cleaning crews, minimum/maximum
temperature of individual streams, etc).
When applied to crude
units, the technique renders
- A schedule of cleaning that is usually not cyclic (Cyclic
schedules are not optimal).
- Alternatives that manage finanacial risk.
- SAVINGS Run in the hundreds of thousand dollars per
year.
If you
have a history set of data on temperatures and some minimal
information on the cleaning costs, we can make a first
assessment on the amount of savings you are likely to attain
using this advanced scheduling option.
