BASIC HTML EXTRAS
-
<meta> tags, put in between the <head> tags, allow
for easier locating and listing by search engines. Two attributes of this
tag is NAME and CONTENT like so:
<meta NAME="My Web Site" CONTENT=" video games pc ">
The search
engine will list my site as 'My Web Site'
under any
search of a subject in the content box.
-
Linking within the same page:
-
First anchor down a location in your web page with this:
-
<a name="here">Name of location</a>
-
You may replace "here" with whatever you please.
-
Then link to it like so:
-
<a href="#here">Name of link</a>
-
And there you have it.
-
Guestbooks and Counters
-
Depending on who is hosting your web page Guestbooks and
Counters are readily available (like Geocities). If not, a simple search
on Yahoo! will find you one. Most are simple cut and paste matters, so,
'Nuff said.
