Example Web Page  This example represents the strategy...,
It is easier to Modify a Web Pages that already exists..., rather than Re-invent everything the first time!

Feel free to "use and or modify" this page to create your own Web Pages!

To "have this Example file" in your machine...,
From the Netscape BROWSER Toolbar..., "Click-on" Edit
Make sure you "click-on" BOTH of the small "check boxes" Links and Images that will appear in the Dialog Box!
Change this File and "Rename" it to (a unique name such as) YOURNAME.htm
Simply Highlight
and Delete the Parts you "don't want"

The Example Image below is banner.gif
Image Example banner.gif

It is just "that easy" to put an Image in a Web Page!

This is An Overview of what you "might" do...
(Perhaps the "easiest and fastest" method ) to Publish your own WebPage!
You will be going to an ftp location where there are examples of "Student Work" posted.
This particular ftp location is a Folder in a Server on the OU Campus (Continuing Education).

You will find an EXAMPLE page at the ftp location...,, you will "Download it", (Rename the file), then "modify it" using your Netscape Navigator Gold Editor..., then "Publish it" (Upload) the Web Page (as YOUR Web Page) "back" to the same ftp location.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
Downloading the WebPage Example:

Go To:  http://www.occe.ou.edu/WebStudy/Gallery/Awebpage.htm

From the Netscape Navigator Gold, BROWSER Toolbar...,

The Save Remote Document Window will appear...,
Make sure you "click-on" BOTH of the small "check boxes" Links and Images!
Save the Remote Document Window

"Click-on" Save

The following Dialog Box (might) appear!
YES..., You have Permission to Download "anything" on WebStudy...,
...for YOUR Educational use!
Netscape Editor Hint Window

When the Save As Window appears...,
Save the page in a Folder location (where you can find the files) and...

Change the Name of the file to a unique name such as YOURNAME.htm
By now..., You know you would NOT literally use the filename YOURNAME.htm...,

You are sharing Server Space with over 100 students. You must name your page "something unique".
REMEMBER..., Netscape will not ask, "are you sure" you want to name this file YOURNAME.htm.

Use a combination of your "WebStudy Student Number" and yourname if you like!

The EXAMPLE file is saved as:  Awebpage_Back.htm
The Wallpaper (background) for this Web Page Filename wallp.jpg
To change it or remove it...,
From the Netscape Editor Toolbar..., "click-on" properties, then Document, then choose Background Image. If you "click-on" the check box (to remove the check) the wallpaper will be removed..., and the page will be White. Experiment with "what color" you want your Background to be!
